What does a PLC and SCADA maintenance contract include?

A maintenance contract includes: remote support with a guaranteed response time (SLA), periodic backups of PLC and SCADA programs, scheduled preventive reviews, technical documentation updates, management of identified critical spare parts and, depending on the contracted level, on-site visits included.

How fast is the response to a critical breakdown?

For remote support we respond in less than 2 hours on standard contracts and in less than 30 minutes on priority contracts. For on-site presence the time depends on location, but we typically travel the same day or the next day according to the urgency agreed in the SLA.

Can you maintain a system you didn't programme yourselves?

Yes. We take over maintenance of third-party systems: we audit the installation, study the existing program, create or update the documentation and from there provide the maintenance service. This is a common situation when the integrator changes or the original manufacturer is no longer in business.

Which PLC and SCADA brands do you maintain?

We maintain Siemens (the full S7 range), Beckhoff TwinCAT, Rockwell Allen-Bradley, Schneider Modicon, Codesys and Omron. On SCADA: WinCC, Ignition, Wonderware/AVEVA, Topkapi and others. If the system isn't on this list, ask us — we can probably handle it.

Do you do preventive maintenance or only corrective?

Both. Preventive maintenance includes periodic checks of hardware health, communications verification, backup verification, firmware updates and review of the program for outstanding alarms. Well-executed preventive maintenance drastically reduces urgent corrective interventions.
