A well-designed and well-built industrial control cabinet is the foundation of any automation installation. At Bluemation we offer the full service: electrical design with Eplan Electric P8, component selection, manufacturing, wiring, labelling and validation testing.

We manufacture cabinets for any application: PLC control cabinets, power and distribution switchgear, variable frequency drive cabinets and instrumentation cabinets. Every cabinet is delivered with full technical documentation and complies with IEC 61439 and CE marking.

Eplan design

Full electrical schematic design in Eplan Electric P8: power, control, PLC I/O, communications and safety circuits. Cabinet layout with component placement.

Component selection

Selection and procurement of components from approved manufacturers: Siemens, ABB, Schneider, Rittal, Phoenix Contact, Weidmüller and others to customer specification.

Build and wiring

Enclosure and backplate machining, component mounting, numbered and ferruled wiring, labelling per Eplan. Continuous quality control throughout the build.

FAT testing

Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) in our facilities: continuity, insulation and phase-sequence testing, I/O verification and communications check before shipment.

05

SAT commissioning

Site Acceptance Test (SAT) at the customer plant: field wiring, real-signal verification, functional testing and handover of the final updated documentation.

Frequently asked questions
Do you build cabinets for any PLC manufacturer?
Yes. We build cabinets with Siemens, Beckhoff, Rockwell, Schneider and Codesys PLCs. We also build cabinets without a PLC (power and control only) to the customer's schematics.
Does the price include the Eplan design?
The Eplan design can be contracted together with the build or as a separate service. In both cases we deliver the native Eplan files to the customer so they can modify them in the future.
Do you carry out the FAT at your facilities?
Yes. We carry out the FAT at our facilities in Valencia before shipment. The customer is welcome to attend the FAT and receives the signed test protocol with the results.
How long does it take to build a cabinet?
Lead time depends on the cabinet size and complexity, and on component availability. A standard cabinet is usually ready in 3-6 weeks from drawing approval. The exact lead time is stated in the quotation.

The full process includes: electrical design with Eplan (schematics, cabinet layout, bills of materials), component selection and procurement, build and wiring in our workshop, FAT testing in front of the customer, transport and on-site installation, and commissioning with SAT testing.
Which standards do your control cabinets meet?
Our cabinets comply with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU, the IEC 61439 standard for distribution and control cabinets, and the EMC Directive 2014/30/EU. We deliver the CE Declaration of Conformity and full technical documentation.
Can you build cabinets with integrated PLCs for special machinery?
Yes. We build complete control cabinets that include PLC, variable frequency drives, safety modules, HMI panel and all switchgear. We also handle PLC programming and commissioning, offering a turnkey service.
What is the typical lead time for an electrical cabinet?
For standard medium-complexity cabinets (with PLC and drives), the typical lead time is 4-8 weeks from design approval. More complex cabinets with many components or special specifications may require 10-14 weeks. We confirm the exact lead time in the quotation.
Do you carry out FAT (Factory Acceptance Test)?
Yes. We carry out full FAT in our facilities before shipment: wiring inspection, insulation testing, functional verification of every circuit with the PLC program loaded and process simulation. The customer is welcome to attend and sign the test protocol.
